Mr. Maat has 35 years of engineering and corporate management expertise in applying a wide range of environmental technologies to solid waste and wastewater management, bio-remediation and large scale engineering projects. Working with SNC-Lavalin and as co-founder of HMM Envirotech, an environmental engineering consulting company, Mr. Maat has been involved in consulting, design, construction, engineering, and technology development for clients across North America and around the world. He has developed environmental and financially feasible solutions for waste conversions of biomass from agriculture, the pulp and paper industry, industrial and municipal refuse into saleable commodities, electricity, ethanol and plastic products. Mr. Maat has developed a broad base of executive management experience in the areas of technical, administrative, marketing, and operational groups with leading Canadian and American environmental technology based consulting, engineering and construction companies.
